Abstract

Contrary to the prevalent belief, it is shown here that for the spin-32 Rarita-Schwinger field in the presence of a fully quantized interaction, the (anti) commutation relations are compatible with the Heisenberg equations of motion. The latter are indeed the same as the Lagrangian equations of motion. Further, it is shown that the validity of the Heisenberg equations of motion does not depend upon the choice of the canonical variables.
