Abstract

By examining both ν- and ν¯-induced neutral-current inclusive processes on an isoscalar target and elastic scattering processes on a proton target, we derive two constraints on the fermionic representation in SU(2) × U(1) gauge models. There are five classes of models that are consistent with these constraints. For each class the upper bound of sin2θW is determined. We also list models for each class with a minimum number of quarks. For these models we analyze the data of νp and ν¯p elastic scattering processes. We also examine both ν- and ν¯-induced charged- and neutral-current inclusive processes on a proton target.
