Abstract
The rate of the -nonconserving decay has been measured using a monoenergetic beam and a nearly--solid-angle detector system employing lead-plate spark chambers and shower counters. Final results based on a detailed analysis of the complete data set are given. The branching ratio of is determined relative to three different normalizations, , , and using a beryllium regenerator. From the rate we find the -nonconserving parameter .
