Abstract
A Coleman-Glashow-type sum rule is obtained for the electromagnetic mass differences of the pseudoscalar mesons using the SU(2)-breaking term in the (8, 8) chiral-symmetry-breaking scheme. However, the agreement with the experimental data is not as good as in the case of the (3, ¯3)⊕(¯3, 3) model.
