Physical Review Accelerators and Beams (PRAB) was launched in 1998 as a pioneering open access journal for accelerator physics. With the financial support, at this time, of over 20 sponsoring laboratories in the Americas and in Europe, the American Physical Society (APS) is able to produce and distribute the journal without subscription fees or password control for readers and without submission or publication costs to authors. In addition to the financial support, the wide sponsorship is recognition of 1) PRAB as a leading journal of accelerator physics and technology and 2) the contributions PRAB is making to the international accelerator community.
Articles in PRAB are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution license (3.0 Unported or 4.0 International). Copyright is not transferred to APS for articles published in PRAB.
