The editors of Physical Review Accelerators and Beams are pleased to announce the following change to the journal’s table of contents. In response to increasing interest and demand, we are extending the section so far entitled “Design Studies” to “Accelerator Facilities and Design Studies.”
The renamed section welcomes articles reporting the key components, the parameters, and the current state of user-facility accelerators, and, possibly, their near-term plans. These articles will provide the facility users with pertinent information and allow them to give more appropriate credit to the accelerator team which enabled their experiment or application. Each user facility, or accelerator experts based at, or highly familiar with, these facilities, are encouraged to produce a document describing their machine and its relevant systems.
