Thomas obtained his Ph.D. in physics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (Germany). He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Tennessee and later as a staff scientist at Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems. His research involves a variety of topics in atomic and molecular systems, including ultracold plasmas and atomic ionization. He joined Physical Review A as an Associate Editor in 2006.

Jan Michael obtained his Ph.D. in physics at the University of Freiburg (Germany), followed by a postdoc at Harvard University. He is a director at the Max-Planck-Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems and adjunct professor at the Technical University of Dresden. For his outstanding research he received several distinctions and awards. He is dean of the Max Planck Schools following leadership roles at numerous scientific committees and Boards. He is an APS member, formerly served as an Editorial Board member for PRA between 2004-2006 and leads the journal since 2019. His research focuses on Finite Systems, which are investigated at the extreme regimes of ultracold and ultrafast nonlinear dynamics.

Bárbara Lopes Amaral, Associate EditorUniversity of São Paulo, Brazil Bárbara is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo. She completed her Ph.D. in Mathematics at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in 2014, with a research stay at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Her work focuses on the foundations of Quantum Theory and Contextuality and Nonlocality in Quantum Theory, with applications in Cryptography, Quantum Thermodynamics, and Many-body Systems. |

Ugo Ancarani, Associate EditorUniversité de Lorraine, France Ugo received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Cambridge (UK). After a postdoctoral position at the University of Frankfurt and a Research Fellowship at the University of Cambridge, Ugo moved to Metz (France) in 1998 and worked as an assistant professor at the Université de Lorraine until 2013, when he became a full professor. His research involves a range of topics in atomic structure and in atomic and molecular collisions, with an emphasis on the three-body Coulomb problem. Ugo became an Associate Editor for PRA in 2019. |

Franco Dalfovo, Associate EditorUniversity of Trento, Italy Franco received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Padova (Italy). He is a full professor at the University of Trento since 2005 and head of the local unit of “Istituto Nazionale di Ottica” of the Italian Research Council. His research group investigates a broad range of topics on Bose-Einstein condensates, cold atomic gases and quantum fluids. He joined APS in 2006 as a member of the Editorial Board of Physical Review A, and since 2007 is an Associate Editor. |

After postdoctoral positions at Graduate School of Optics (France) and Aarhus University (Denmark) he became an Associate Professor at Aarhus University in 2013. His interests are within the area of optomechanics, quantum optics, photonics, and sensing. He was a member of the Editorial Board of Physical Review A (PRA) from 2022 to 2026 and joined PRA as an Associate Editor in 2026. |

Gabriele De Chiara, Associate EditorUniversitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain Gabriele received his Ph.D. from Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy). He held a postdoctoral position in Trento (Italy) and the Juan de la Cierva Fellowship in Barcelona (Spain) before joining Queen's University Belfast (UK) as a Lecturer in 2011. In 2025, he moved back to Barcelona as an Associate Professor. His interests are within the area of quantum technologies, especially quantum thermodynamics and control. He became an Associate Editor in 2019. |

He was then a postdoc at National University of Singapore, University of Oxford (EPSRC Fellow), and Los Alamos National Laboratory (Director's and J.R. Oppenheimer Distinguished Fellow). Bill Munro, Associate EditorOkinawa Institute of Science and Technology, Japan Bill received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Waikato (NZ) in 1995. Having spent over twenty years of his career as an industrial research scientist, holding senior positions within both HP Labs and NTT Basic Research Laboratories, he joined the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology in 2023. He served as a Board member of PRA from 2013 to 2018 and became an Associate Editor of PRA and consulting editor of PRX in 2019. His main research interests are focused in quantum optics, quantum networking, quantum computation and hybrid quantum systems. Bill is also an APS, Optica, and IOP Fellow. |

Frank Narducci, Associate EditorNaval Postgraduate School, USA Frank received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Rochester, NY. From 1996 until 2017, he was the head of a research team working on the development of sensors based on quantum optics and atomic physics for the Naval Air Systems Command, where he eventually became a NAVAIR Fellow and the Senior Science and Technology Manager (SSTM) for Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) for the Navy. He is now an associate professor of physics at the Naval Postgraduate School. He is currently working on magnetometers, accelerometers, and gyroscopes based on cold atom interferometers. For more than 15 years, he has contributed as an Associate Editor for Physical Review A and an Adjunct Associate Editor for Physical Review Letters. |
