U. D. Jentschura

Phys. Rev. A 91, 010502(R) (2015) - Published 21 January, 2015

The interaction of metastable 2s hydrogen atoms with a perfectly conducting wall is studied, finding the long-range asymptotics of the retarded Casimir–Polder potentials and s-p-mixing amplitudes, but no evidence for the so-called Sokolov effect.

Phys. Rev. A 91, 012337 (2015) - Published 28 January, 2015

A proposal for the realization of a robust quantum gate based on Rydberg atoms is analyzed, and it is shown how adiabatic dressing of the ground state protects the gate from decoherence due to random phase errors usually arising from thermal motion.

Khrystyna Regeta and Michael Allan

Phys. Rev. A 91, 012707 (2015) - Published 12 January, 2015

The differential cross sections for exciting the three lowest electronically excited states are measured in furan both as a function of the electron energy and of the scattering angle, revealing the resonant structure and permitting conclusions about the excitation mechanism.
