Ángel obtained his Ph.D. in physics from Universität Ulm (Germany). After holding postdoctoral positions in Spain, he joined Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where he is currently an Associate Professor. He served on the Editorial Board of Physical Review A from 2023 to 2026. His research interests lie at the interface of quantum optics and quantum information, with a particular focus on open quantum systems and quantum thermodynamics.
