A collection of articles based on original research presented at the International Workshop on Electron-Cloud Effects (April 9 - 12, 2007, InterBurgo Hotel in Daegu, Korea).
Physical Review Special Topics - Accelerators and Beams (PRST-AB) is publishing a conference edition for the International Workshop on Electron-Cloud Effects (ECLOUD 07) that was held in Daegu, Korea, April 9-12, 2007 (http://chep.knu.ac.kr/ecloud07). Dr. Kazuhito Ohmi of KEK will be the special editor of this edition.
PRST-AB is an all-electronic journal published by the American Physical Society. The all-electronic nature of PRST-AB allows "conference editions" while maintaining thorough peer review and timely publication. In addition, it provides global access and archiving beyond that ordinarily offered by conference proceedings.
Workshop Papers: The Local Organizing Committee recommends that all contributors to the workshop consider submission to PRST-AB. Papers will be peer-reviewed through the normal refereeing procedure, and if accepted for publication they will be published as regular PRST-AB articles and also as part of the ECLOUD 07 Conference Edition. Publication will be timely; articles will be published as soon as they are ready with no delay waiting for other papers presented at the conference. The ECLOUD 07 Table of Contents and the Workshop WWW site will be updated each time a paper is published. Authors should submit to PRST-AB using the procedure found through links on the PRST-AB home page.
In addition, a complete collection of papers presented at the workshop will be posted on the workshop WWW site without further review.
PRST-AB Criteria: Papers must contain important new results in science and/or technology. Confirmation of previously published results of unusual importance can be considered as new, as can significant null results. In general, authors should keep review material to a minimum. Even so, some review and reprise of past work is appropriate if the paper can be made more understandable and self-contained thereby. Papers cannot be duplicates of work submitted for publication to another journal. Material previously published, or submitted for publication, in a Letters journal or in conference proceedings can be the basis of an article in PRST-AB provided the submitted manuscript presents more information, enabling the reader to obtain an improved understanding of the subject.
There are many reasons why you should consider publishing in the ECLOUD 07 Conference Edition.
We look forward to your contribution.
