APS is delighted to announce that PRX Quantum, the highly selective, open access publication focused on quantum science and technology research has appointed Dr. Robin Blume-Kohout (Sandia National Labs) as its new Lead Editor.
Dr. Blume-Kohout is a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories, the founder of Sandia’s Quantum Performance Laboratory, and a research professor at the University of New Mexico. His research focuses on quantum computation, especially assessing the performance of quantum computers and their components through benchmarking and characterization of physical and logical qubit systems. He has served as an esteemed PRX Quantum Editorial Board Member since the journal’s launch in 2020, and brings to this role deep editorial experience, a clear-eyed view of the broader quantum community across academia and industry, and a vision for how PRX Quantum can build on its strengths as the field matures, while preserving the breadth and rigor that define the journal’s identity.
