Abstract

Partial decay widths corresponding to the proton decay from the Gamow-Teller and isobaric analog state resonances in ${}^{208}{Bi}$ to hole states in ${}^{207}{Pb}$ are evaluated. The giant resonances are described by using the random-phase approximation within the Berggren representation. A good agreement with available experimental data is obtained. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
