Abstract

The nuclear energy levels of ${Be}^{8}$ have been investigated by observing the neutron groups emitted when an isotopic target of ${Li}^{7}$ is bombarded by 0.7-Mev deuterons. Evidence of levels in ${Be}^{8}$ was found at 2.98 and 7.53 Mev, and of a probable level at 5.30 Mev.
