Abstract

The specific alpha-activity of U-234 has been determined using pure samples grown from UX. The half-life period was found to be 2.67±0.04 (L. E.)×105 yr. The corresponding abundance in natural uranium is 0.0000580±0.0000008 by weight in fair agreement with determinations by other methods.
