Cloud-Chamber Study of Multiple Scattering of Protons in Air

Abstract
Experimental evidence is presented for occasional large apparent curvatures of short range proton tracks in a cloud chamber caused by multiple scattering in the gas. The observed curvatures agree qualitatively with the predictions of Bethe.
