Abstract

In a discharge through a mixture of nitrogen and antimony vapor a new band system has been found with the molecule SbN as carrier. The vibrational analysis yields the following formula for the heads ν=34465+[830.7(v+12)6.0(v+12)2][942.0(v+12)5.6(v+12)2]. A comparison is made with other molecules of the fifth group.
