Evidence Against the Existence of an Excited State of He3

Abstract

Cloud-chamber measurements have been made on the recoil protons produced by neutrons from the dd reaction. The distribution of the neutron energies has been determined from 126 recoil proton tracks. No evidence for a low energy group of neutrons and consequently an excited state of He3 was obtained.
