Abstract

Self-absorption curves as well as mutual absorption curves of the In and the Rh neutron capture levels have been measured. From the experiments, the following values were obtained for the absorption coefficients for self-indication Ks, the resonance cross sections σ0, the natural widths Γ, the neutron width ΓN and the spacing |E0InE0Rh| of the two levels: Ks=11.5 cm2/g, σ0=4100×1024 cm2, Γ=0.13 ev, ΓN=3.5×104 ev for Rh; Ks=52 cm2/g, σ0=23,000×1024 cm2, Γ=0.07 ev, ΓN=1×103 ev for In; |E0InE0Rh|=0.15 ev.
