The Radium-Uranium Ratio and the Number of Actinouranium Isotopes

Abstract
The radium-uranium ratio is given by where and are respectively the numbers of alpha-particles emitted per sec. per g of U or of Ra; is essentially equal to the actinium "branching" ratio; and is the number of actinouranium isotopes. Data on , , and are considered in order to determine whether . The results speak strongly in favor of the existence of only one actinouranium isotope.
