Mössbauer Diffraction. I. Quantum Theory of Gamma-Ray and X-Ray Optics

Abstract
The Green-function techniques of quantum electrodynamics are used to obtain the equations governing the interaction of x rays and rays with crystals. In particular, the theory of Mössbauer -ray optics for crystals containing the resonant nuclei is developed.
