Abstract
It is shown that contribution to the single-quantum annihilation cross section from the bound electrons cannot be ignored. Calculations of the cross sections have also been made by applying the Biedenharn-Swamy symmetric model, and the region of validity of this model is estimated. Polarization correlations are studied using Dirac-Coulomb wave functions.
