We propose here two simple experimental tests for Regge cuts. They consist of looking at $s\left(\frac{d\sigma }{\mathrm{dt}}\right)$ for the reactions $\gamma +N\to {\pi }^0+N$ and $\gamma +N\to N^{*}+{\pi }^0$ as a function of $s$ and ${\varphi }_{\gamma }$ for fixed $t$, where ${\varphi }_{\gamma }$ is the angle the polarization vector makes with the scattering plane. The behavior of $s\left(\frac{d\sigma }{\mathrm{dt}}\right)$ at ${\varphi }_{\gamma }=0\mathrm{}$ determines whether cuts are present or not.
