Abstract

The 3-dimensional Lie algebra of ordinary electrodynamics is shown to lead to a theory of relativistic states described in a Lorentz-invariant way by the group U(3,3). The generators are Lorentz-covariant. Some possibilities with regard to introducing new symmetries within the structure of a space-time transformation group are discussed.
