Abstract

Nonrelativistic energies and mass-polarization shifts of excited S states of Li+ were calculated with 31- to 70-term Rayleigh-Ritz expansions in coordinates r1, r2, r12. Comparison with experiment, based on very crude estimates of relativistic shifts, indicates agreement within about 1 cm1.
